You should review and possibly update your coverage
whenever you have a significant event or change in
your life. Some examples include:

What should I do if I have an auto accident?
- Stay calm and contact the local authorities.
- Don't move an injured person unless the person
is in immediate danger. - Don't move your vehicle unless it blocks traffic.
This changes the scene and could impact your
claim. - Don’t leave the scene of an accident whether you
are able to or not. Wait for the police to arrive
and say it's all right to leave. They provide an
objective witness to the event. Leaving early
could leave you liable if the other driver(s) later
file for injuries or accused of a hit and run. - Don't blame the accident on anyone, including
yourself. Give your full description of the accident
only to the investigating police officer. - Write down the following information: Location,
date and time; Names, addresses and license
numbers of other drivers and passengers;
License plate numbers and vehicle descriptions
(color, model); Injuries to you and others, if any;
Names and telephone numbers of any witnesses. - Contact our office immediately. We may not
learn about it another way.

What happens if my car gets hit and I don't have
collision coverage?
If your car is hit by an identifiable, insured person and
they are found to be at fault, you can still make a claim.
At Gersh Insurance, we're glad to provide guidance and
help you process the claim paperwork regardless of
whether or not you have collision coverage provided
you have the at-fault driver's insurance information or
contact information.

How do I cancel my auto insurance?
Before you cancel, we would like the opportunity to
speak with you to understand your reason(s) for
cancelling and potentially provide further guidance.
Beyond that, to cancel you are required to turn your
plate into the Registry of Motor Vehicles and bring the
receipt to us for insurance carrier processing.

What paperwork do I need to transfer my auto
insurance from the vehicle I'm selling to the vehicle
I'm buying or add a vehicle to my policy?
If you are working with a dealer, they will give you all
the paperwork we'll need. For a personal sale, we will
need your old vehicle's registration and the new
vehicle's title.

Any potential increase will be determined by the
experience and driving record of the additional
individual. We would be happy to speak with you to
provide a more definitive response based upon your
